David L. Tirschwell, M.D.
Dr. Tirschwell, a UW associate professor of neurology, is co-director of the UW Medicine Stroke Center at Harborview, where he practices general neurology. He is board-certified in neurology and the subspecialty of vascular neurology (stroke). He is the program director for the vascular neurology residency program (stroke fellowship).
He is a member of the Centers for Disease Control-funded Northwest Regional Stroke Network Steering Committee, serving as chair of the surveillance and evaluation subcommittee. He is a member of the Washington State Emergency Care of Cardiac Disease and Stroke Technical Advisory Committee and has served as co-chair of the Washington State Department of Health Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Steering Committee.
