Becker, Kyra J.

Kyra J. Becker, M.D.

Dr. Becker is a UW associate professor of neurology and of neurological surgery. She is a recognized authority in stroke and critical care neurology. Along with her work with patients, she also directs clinical trials related to stroke prevention and acute stroke therapy. She is board-certified in neurology and vascular neurology.

After earning her medical degree from Duke University, she completed an internship and residency in neurology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore and remained there for a fellowship in critical care neurology. She also completed a research fellowship at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke before joining the UW School of Medicine faculty.
